The week of the Pastorate 40 Hours Devotion, there will be a youth night instead of an Ignite meeting
NOTE: To accommodate all of the teenagers from all three parishes, we will offer two sessions. These will both be on Wednesday nights. The first session (for grades 7-8) will be held from 5:15-6:45 pm and the second session (for grades 9-12) will last from 7:00-8:30 pm. A meal will be served between the sessions. A message will be sent out later in the summer confirming the plan.
Building on the foundations of CGS, Ignite will continue to ponder Scripture and the teachings of the Church at their level. Throughout middle and high school, Ignite will prayerfully walk through the story of salvation revealed in Scripture and the four pillars of Church teaching as laid out in the Catechism of the Catholic Church: The Creed, the Sacraments, the moral life, and prayer. The sessions will include a presentation of new material in large group and the chance for the teens to ask questions in small group as they begin to form their own identity as young adults, and time for prayer. There will also be the chance to participate in the Sacraments and the life of the Church. Food and fellowship are a part of every Ignite night.
Fees:
To help supplement the cost for these programs, please refer to the fee scale below:
- Registered Parishioner within the St. John the Baptist Pastorate: $75 per child
- Non-Parishioners: $100 (Pastorate members are able to register first. If there are spots left, those openings will then be made available to non-pastorate members.)
- Registered Parishioner & Pastorate Family Cap: $200
- Scholarships are available for registered parishioners, contact the office for more information. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.
- Assistants in the Atrium are ½ price and the fees for Catechists and small group leaders are waived.
- Any child preparing for a Sacrament (Holy Communion/Reconciliation, Confirmation): Additional $20.00 per child.
